Hospital Redevelopment

Group Eight Engineering is responsible for the mechanical and electrical preliminary design, design development, contract documents, contract administration and site review for this $90 million, multi-phased, redevelopment of Henderson Hospital.

Mechanical systems include HVAC, plumbing and drainage, medical gases, sprinklers and a DDC control system.

Electrical systems include high voltage substation, emergency power plant, power distribution, isolated power systems, interior/ exterior illumination, patient/ nurse communication systems, structured cabling systems, wireless master clock system, security/ CCTV systems, patient telemetry systems, patient entertainment systems, and addressable fire alarm systems.

A co-generation system, which was designed by a third party consultant, will be incorporated and integrated into the mechanical and electrical systems of the central plant.

The project will consist of 300,000 ft2 of new construction and 40,000 ft2 of renovation, including new Emergency Department, Diagnostic Imaging, Operating Suites, Coronary Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, various In-patient Units, Day Hospital and various support facilities.
