MRI/Satellite Imaging Suite

Group Eight Engineering was responsible for the Mechanical and Electrical preliminary design, design development, contract documents, contract administration and site review for this $2 million, 8,500 ft² renovation, completed in the fall of 2003.

Mechanical design aspects included HVAC, plumbing and drainage, sprinkler and standpipe systems, medical gas equipment and a DDC control system.

The electrical design included power distribution, illumination, patient/nurse communication, structured cabling, security/CCTV, patient entertainment and fire alarm systems.

Full mechanical and electrical services were provided for the magnetic resonance imaging and the diagnostic equipment including dedicated cooling systems for the equipment.


This suite comprises patient waiting, change and stretcher areas, MRI Scan Room, Chest and General X-ray Scan Rooms, and support facilities.
